Taking Stock // February

Okay. You caught me. It’s March now and I am posting about February, but to be fair I wrote this is February, so it’s all good. Speaking of February, I hate that extra ‘r” they threw in there. I have to phonetically say “feb-ru-ary” in my brain every time I spell it. Ugh. Now that we’ve moved on from that drama, here’s how February looked for us.

Making : Excuses about how it’s too cold to exercise. I need to stop that.
Cooking : Fancy Pinterest recipes because one of my 2015 goals is to get better at cooking.
Drinking : Moscow mules. Because it’s cold outside and ginger beer.
Reading : One Thousand Gifts. It’s kind of life changing.
Wanting : To buy a plane ticket to somewhere warm.
Looking : Forward to cherry blossom season.
Playing : A lot of Glen Hansard’s music after enjoying his concert this month. His voice though.
Wasting : Candles. This weather makes me want to burn them all. day. long.
Wishing : There was a lot more peace in the world.
Enjoying : Having a new down coat for all of this winter-craziness.
Waiting : For warm weather photography sessions.
Liking : My newly organized external hard drives – why didn’t I do this sooner?
Wondering : How can I be a more hospitable and loving person every day?
Loving : Loving the white plates I just bought from World Market – goodbye college plates!
Hoping : I can stay in the moment in March instead of wishing it away for Spring.
Needing : A new creative project – just for fun.
Smelling : A candle called “Be Grateful” – keep those vibes coming.
Wearing : Boots. Everyday. Gotta keep that snow out.
Noticing : That it is staying light outside a little later!
Knowing : We are where we are supposed to be.
Thinking : I’d like to re-configure our budget and finances this month.
Feeling : Strangely content in the face of a lot of ambiguity in our lives.

Anyone else taking stock lately? I’d love to see your posts.

PS – Taking Stock is a monthly post series. You can see others here, here, and here.
