10 Must Have Items for Your 3 to 6 Month Old Baby

In this edition of the “must have” series, we’re sharing the top 10 most used items for our 3-to-6-month-old baby. Time sure does fly and wow baby’s grow and change quickly. Hopefully this list will be useful to a few of you out there. Enjoy!

Portable High Chair
Living in a small apartment? Going camping? Constantly on the go? This high chair folds up and can easily be thrown in the car or slung over your shoulder while you walk to a local restaurant. It’s also great for the campers out there. He could use this earlier than other high chairs because it was soft and supportive!

Musical Mobile Gym
Though we resisted buying something that took up a considerable amount of floor space (and was, well, an eye sore in our living room), we broke when we saw Coen playing in his cousin’s play gym. He played, giggled, smiled and was completely captivated by the music for upwards of 15 minutes at a time. #metime We also love these wooden options! Woodland baby play gym, WIDE Wooden baby gym

Toys
I’ll admit it. I’m a sucker for a good toy – so is Coen. Classic Sophie and Crinkle book were much loved and still are. Not to mention Sophie was an excellent cross-cultural conversation starter with our flight attendant while traveling to France. The Parisian gentleman’s little one also had a Sophie.

Mesh Crib Liner
When we transitioned our little guy to the crib, he always made his way to a corner. But in the process would slip an arm or foot out the side of the crib. Yikes. We decided to get these snazzy crib bumpers to assist – and they are breathable for our peace of mind.

Video Monitor
Save yourself from getting out of bed more than you have to with a video monitor. Definitely brought us peace of mind and was clutch when starting to sleep train. Our camera utilized a phone app as the receiver which could be annoying at times. Here are a couple other options you could try on Amazon that don’t require you to use your phone: Smilism Camera, YOOFOSS Baby Monitor.

Baby Bandana Drool Bibs
Drool. Lots of drool. Save a onesie. Get a bib. These bandana ones are our favorite!

Nursing Breastfeeding Cover and Baby Car Seat Cover
You do you. This nursing cover came in handy pretty much anywhere and everywhere. It doubles as a cover for the car seat as well!

Love to Dream Swaddle
We call this swaddle the flying squirrel. Once Coen started to roll over, we needed an option that could help transition him out of a swaddle. This did the trick.

Spiral Car Seat Activity Toy
The perfect distraction for a long car drive. We made a trip from DC to Orlando when Coen was 4-months-old. Not recommended. Thank goodness for distractions… and the occasional baby Einstein video (don’t judge).
