Dave and I are huge fans of adoption. We see the act of taking a child into your family as your own as such a beautiful picture of our faith, and we love celebrating with adoptive families. We have so much enjoyed walking through the adoption process with our dear friends the Yost family. We have had a front row seat to the up’s and down’s of their adoption process – and let me tell you, friends, they are incredible. I would love for you to read about their journey through their point of view on their blog – you won’t regret it.
I was honored to have been able to photograph so many parts of this journey and felt humbled and privileged to attend the finalization of their adoption last month. What an emotional morning. Although there were certainly low moments on this journey it really has a happy ending. Well, actually this is really just the beginning, isn’t it?
We waited in rooms for our name to be called and were then ushered back into the judge’s chambers.
She clapped as if she knew what the judge’s signature meant. It was such a precious moment.
