Ethic Goods

Remember when I posted this Behind the Scenes post  back in December? Well, I am excited to announce that Ethic Goods has launched their product line and website!! The fair trade accessory company AoneEight Imports has rebranded to Ethic Goods and I love their new name and brand! You should really go check out their new line of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. I have the Ombre Arrow Necklace and wear it all the time!

However, the best part about their jewelry isn’t the beautiful designs, its the story behind the product. Each piece was was made out of melted down bullet casings from conflict zones in East Africa and assembled by marginalized women in the region. I love the way they describe what they do:

When it comes to addressing the world’s most significant social problems such as poverty, human trafficking, disease, and unequal education and opportunities, it’s easy to feel powerless. But what if our attention was focused on what we can do? One of most important questions we will ever ask ourselves is, What can I do with what I have?

At Ethic, our answer is a love of high-quality design, genuine concern for the welfare of those in need, and deep desire to make a lasting impact. We believe fashion can do good. We believe it can even make a difference.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to photograph your inspiring and beautiful products, Ethic Goods! I had a blast shooting with everyone on the creative team and love supporting your ‘goods that make a difference’.
