A couple of weeks ago I showed you all a few of our photos from the ancient rock churches of Lalibela. If you haven’t seen the post, you can check it out here. We really enjoyed touring the ancient sites around the mountain, but I think the city of Lalibela was equally as fun for us to explore. We were dad to have just missed a festival that was scheduled for the day after we left the city, but we had a wonderful time watching everyone from town decorate for the celebration. What a stunningly beautiful place.
Many of the children were dressed in traditional clothing for the celebration and put on a wonderful show for everyone in the town square.

This was my first time shooting on a Canon, so forgive the soft image below, but I loved it too much not to post it.
