Travel Books – Artifact Uprising

I am a believer in printing photos. Why? Photographs are meant to be tangible, physical representations of memories. They are meant to document moments and keep record of our lives. They are meant to be a legacy and an heirloom to pass on to future generations. In my opinion photographs are not being used properly when they are just sitting archived on hard drives. I put a lot of time and effort into taking photos and editing them and I beleive they deserve to be showcased in my every day life. I believe that photographs take on new life when you are able to hold them in your hands, not just stare at them on a screen.

For this reason, I have been looking into options to make albums to document our travels. I didn’t want an album with patterns or designs and I didn’t want an album that was too large or expensive. I also wanted an album that was easy to design – I didn’t really want to have to create my files in another program and upload them. (I apparently have a lot of demands when it comes to an album company) So I was thrilled when I came across Artifact Uprising! Their books were exactly what I was looking for.

I got my first book in the mail a few days ago and I am absolutely thrilled with the result! I ended up ordering their 5×5 Softcover Book and it is the perfect mini travel book. It has found a home on my coffee table and has already made for a great conversation piece. I have loved flipping through it and I feel like my travel images have new life.

Isn’t it beautiful?? And did I even mention that it was made from recycled materials? Amazing. So what are you waiting for? Go get your photos off of hard drives and into your every day life!

  1. Thanks for this. I always wondered who out there makes photobooks that don’t look like Shutterfly trash. Definitely going to use Artifact Uprising in the future.
