Zewey: Family Reconciation in Ethiopia

During our filming for the Change Boys documentary we were able to travel with a couple of the boys back to their home  town to meet their families. One of the primary goals of the the program is family reconciliation and it was such a gift to be able to witness these families first hand. We felt so welcomed with both of the families that we visited, even though I am sure three foreigners with camera walking around your home is not high on anyone’s favorite things list. We feel so grateful to have been given a peak into these families’ lives and hope you enjoy a few photos from our time. Blog_Zewey07

  1. These are amazing. I was a social worker for many years and dreamed of going into the Peace Corps someday (instead, I had babies and my sister joined and went to Senegal!). At any rate, you captured the beauty of a culture and people in these photos…it’s so nice to see happy and joyful people from this region of the world. I can’t wait to watch your documentary. Thanks for sharing!

    • Thanks Lori! We had a wonderful time in Ethiopia. It’s a beautiful country. I am jealous of your sister for getting to spend so much time in Senegal. That must have been an incredible experience. If you are interested, you can actually view our short film at this link: https://vimeo.com/55143489
